BergLogic offers a JPEG2000-based light-compression distributed solution: a single 4K@60fps link can be compressed to 470 Mb/s with 8.5 ms latency and 4:4:4 visually lossless quality. It also integrates deeply with H.264 / H.265 deep-compression pipelines to form a dual-engine architecture.
BergLogic delivers the light-compression solution as an FPGA core board. Beyond the JPEG2000 codec at its heart, the core board integrates UDP/IP encapsulation, unicast / multicast, audio-video network separation, USB pass-through, preview, video crop, scale, OSD, windowing, roaming, multi-display synchronization and more — delivering complete distributed processing capabilities tailored for distributed deployments.
JPEG2000-based light-compression distribution delivers the image quality and latency of fiber-based distribution while reducing network bandwidth requirements. A single Gigabit copper port can carry dual 4K@60 streams, and 4K@60 roaming is available at the decoder. Deep-compression decoded video can be windowed and combined picture-in-picture with JPEG2000-decoded video, meeting H.264 / H.265 compatibility requirements. BergLogic's JPEG2000 light-compression solution is, in this sense, a true all-rounder for distributed video.
